During a trip to VT with some friends, we decided to go to the theaters to watch Wuthering Heights! After getting over the initial devastation (it’s quite tragic!) I was inspired by stylistic elements that were romantic, moody, and dark. This gothic bouquet can’t be contained, just like how it feels to not be able to contain feelings of affection and love. The title is also a nod to a song by Charli XCX, a musician that collaborated on the movie, that I listened to on repeat while painting this piece.
