The inspiration behind my art is based on the fleeting beauty of life and search for meaning in the everyday moments.
I especially love paying tribute to familiar scenes of small towns in the Northeast Region of the United States, where I've grown up and settled in, whose stories and communities I strive to learn and understand. As an avid traveler who loves trying to experience places through the eyes of locals, I also enjoy sharing art from my adventures that often holds deep meaning for me.
I've always been someone to notice the beauty in small moments - the light through the autumn trees, the cozy warmth of stepping in a cafe in winter, the babble of birds on a spring walk, or the wonder at the green fields stretching out for miles.
Using my life in the Northeast as a guide, I often find myself in awe of the way the seasons shift our environments, our moods, and our perspectives. Our human inclination to celebrate seasons has been present in countless cultures throughout history, and has helped us bring structure, build community, and find meaning in our lives.
Leaning into these seasonal changes helps me be fully present, slow down, and practice gratitude for the adventures and communities (big & small) that create our lives.
Finding (and remembering) the meaning in our everyday life can be challenging, but intentionally noticing and appreciating the beauty of nature, our local communities, and our connections is what I believe makes life beautiful.
My biggest hope is that my art inspires you to create, appreciate, and remember meaningful adventures of your own!
